Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Engineering Geologist to join our team in Newcastle or Tuggerah.

While working alongside our industry leaders, you’ll have a balance of technical work, project management, leadership and client-facing problem solving, delivering milestone projects from the Hawkesbury River and Orange up to the Queensland border.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Leading an extensive range of geotechnical projects across the Northern NSW region, with opportunity to deliver nationally and internationally.

Interpretation and assessment of data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions.

Conducting or directing geotechnical analyses in areas such as slope stability and remediation, footings, foundation treatments, ground retention, and pavement thickness design.

Preparing and reviewing proposals and technical reports.

Interacting with clients through pursuit, tendering and delivery phases of projects, along with opportunities to address business development tasks

Providing technical mentoring for junior team members to build and develop their skills

What you will bring to the team:

Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, with post-graduate study advantageous.

At least 8 years’ experience in geotechnical consulting and infrastructure projects.

Strong skills in investigation, interpretation, design, and delivery of geotechnical solutions.

Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, priorities tasks, and manage projects independently.

Excellent client collaboration, project management, and analytical skills using standard industry methods.
