Quality Engineer

Hengelo, Overijssel, Netherlands

Description

Will you ensure that our projects generate not only heat, but also top quality?

Bilfinger: Your performance is our business!

Join us as: Quality Engineer

Are you someone who really...

  • Are you ready to take quality in the energy market to a higher level and be the point of contact for the MT for complete quality control (QC) within our company?
  • Are you enthusiastic about working on top quality in products and processes?
  • Want to be a connecting link between customers and team?
  • Can you set up Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and ensure quality assurance?
  • Are you a good team player and have strong communication skills?

What will you do as a Quality Engineer?

As a Quality Engineer, you'll be the go-to person for all quality-related matters and the point of contact for the management team (MT) for all aspects of quality control (QC) within our company. You'll support clients with advice and practical assistance and be a rock for your colleagues when it comes to quality issues. You'll independently develop quality control plans (QCPs) and maintain a firm grip on quality assurance. You'll work within the strict framework of our HSSEQ policy, ensuring everyone is on the same page when it comes to quality. In consultation with the client, you'll coordinate quality plans, inspection plans, and project procedures to ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether it's a small project or a large assignment, you'll be an integral part of the project team. You'll provide solicited and unsolicited advice to project management, because quality waits for no one. You'll be the first point of contact for internal and external clients, inspection services, and Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) for your assigned projects.

You'll also liaise with subcontractors in the areas of construction, coating, insulation, Heat Treatment (PWHT), and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). Through your dedication and careful implementation of procedures, you'll directly influence the quality of the final result. And yes, you'll also have the authority to approve or reject work, both for your own work and that of our subcontractors.

What are you bringing?

  • An MBO-plus or HBO working and thinking level in the direction of Mechanical Engineering (WTB).
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering, instrumentation or an equivalent background is a big plus.
  • Do you have IWT certification or a comparable level 2 qualification? Perfect! Then you can work independently as a Quality Engineer.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is a major plus, especially if you have previously managed a quality team.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques, welding techniques, heat treatment, NDT techniques and inspection methods.
  • Familiarity with legal regulations (PED, NEN EN 1090), design standards and quality systems, and knowledge of ASME including U- and S-stamp.
  • Planning and organizational skills, even when working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sharp analytical thinking and excellent management skills.
  • Good command of Dutch and English and flexible deployment within the entire region.

Don't have everything you need? We're happy to discuss it further. If you're willing to learn and develop, we certainly are too.

What do we offer you?

  • Excellent secondary employment conditions, such as the option to work from home, a telephone and laptop, a pension scheme through PME Megaelectron, 27 days of vacation and 13 ADV days.
  • Various group discounts on insurance, tax benefits on annual purchases, and numerous sporting and healthy initiatives.
  • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
  • Extensive responsibility and the freedom to organize your work as you see fit. Working at Bilfinger means working on sustainable energy solutions and contributing to the energy transition the world needs.
