Description: You will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Sr. for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Program Production Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting the production of systems that defend against airborne threats, collaborating with various functions and government customers to ensure successful program execution.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the producibility of designs. You will work closely with suppliers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical manufacturing issues and implement cost reduction initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating designs for producibility and collaborating with suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Leading manufacturing process validation activities and driving cost reduction initiatives
• Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans
• Providing Lockheed Martin and supplier factory manufacturing support
• Working with government customers and integrating launcher equipment
• Utilizing Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
• Ability to travel domestic and/or international 25-50%
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience manufacturing circuit card assemblies to J-STD-001 standards
• CAM Experience
• Bachelors in mechanical / electrical / chemical engineering or Material Sciences preferred
• Experience working with Government customers
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Experience in Electrical Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Machining, Welding or Castings
• Process improvement experience
• Experience with integration of launcher equipment
• Experience manufacturing THAAD
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Experience in a manufacturing or production operations environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
