Salary: £25,000 – £28,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent geology, geoscience or geotechnical engineering graduate seeking a position in the ground investigation field to kickstart their career. The successful graduate geotechnical engineer will be provided with specialist training from a team of award-winning engineers and consultants on a variety of exciting projects across the North, with the support of 7 other offices for stability and varied opportunities.

This Graduate Geotechnical Engineer selected will be assisting with site walkovers, carrying out ground investigations and desk studies, taking soil samples, borehole logging, preparing phase plans, writing factual and interpretive reports, working on in situ testing and observing day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental & geotechnical knowledge.

The successful Graduate Geotechnical Engineer must:

• Have a minimum of a BSc in geology, geoscience, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
• Been keen to learn and develop geo-environmental and geotechnical skills.
• Be willing to work outdoors on hands on projects.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Commutable to Leeds and surrounding area.
• Have a full right to work in the UK.
