Context
The Structural Engineer will be performing structural engineering calculations, modeling, and analysis.
Missions/Main Duties
• Perform structural engineering calculations, modeling and analysis;
• Solve problems of moderate to high level complexity in accordance with project requirements;
• Ensure safety, constructability and cost effectiveness of the design;
• Understand applicable codes and specifications;
• Coordinate with different disciplines such as Architectural and MEPF; and
• Report necessary information to immediate supervisor/manager.
Profile/Skills
SKILLS:
• Knowledge of discipline local and international codes (NSCP, PD 1096, DPWH DGCS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, UBC, AASHTO, BS EN, etc.) or project specific standards, specifications, design criteria and construction methodology.
• Knowledgeable with MIDAS, ETABS, STAAD or equivalent structural software for analysis and design.
• Knowledgeable with SAFE or equivalent foundation design software.
• Knowledgeable with FEA and RAMCon or equivalent connection design software;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or equivalent 3D viewer software;
• Advanced computer and software skills (structural analysis softwares and spreadsheets);
• Analytical and problem solving skills, and spatial ability; and
• Consistent initiative
Registered professional with at least three (3) years ofrelated experience in the design of vertical and horizontal
structures, preferably railway stations and bridges, including design of joints and connections for both concrete and steel structures.
