Staff Engineer II, Geotechnical

Description


Identifies problems and possible solutions, takes appropriate action as needed with regard to geotechnical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs field observations and inspections on geotechnical projects.
  • Prepares engineering letter reports documenting field-related engineering tasks.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and reports.
  • Review design drawings, building codes, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, certification processes, formulas, or equipment required for projects.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, soil type, or moisture content, and areas observed or inspected.
  • Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare geotechnical engineering reports for review

Minimum Experience and Education:

BS degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

Required Skills:

AutoCAD

Civil 3D

Licensing or Certification requirements:

Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when on job site.

Compensation Range:

$58,100.00 - $87,100.00
