Istimewa Elektro BV has over 170 employees. Our operations are managed from our headquarters in Vlissingen, with additional locations in Rotterdam and Veghel. Istimewa Elektro designs, installs, maintains, and inspects electrical installations and control systems for large and medium-sized infrastructure and water projects.

Our clients are located throughout the Netherlands, in the infrastructure and water market.

As a Software Engineer at Istimewa, you'll be involved in the automation of infrastructure projects from start to finish, including bridges, locks, and flood defenses. You'll work on prestigious projects such as the Maeslantkering, Ramspolkering, and the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam. You'll design, document, program, and ultimately commission everything on-site and hand it over to the user. Based on the design, you'll write and test the software for PLC and SCADA. 

You'll work in a project team of software engineers, hardware engineers, CAD engineers, project managers, and project managers. Your base of operations will be in Vlissingen, but working from home is also possible.

What will you do: 

• You translate a customer's wish or specification into a functional design. 

• You draw up a functional design in consultation with the customer and further develop this into a technical design.

• You will program in SIMATIC PLC S7-1500 via TIA portal and SCADA in SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture, but if you are familiar with other platforms we would also like to discuss this with you.

• You draw up various test documents (FAT, SAT, SIT).

• You perform various acceptance tests and commission the software on site. 

What do you bring to the table:

• You have a completed HBO education in ICT, Engineering, Industrial Automation or equivalent. 

• You have an affinity for industrial automation, preferably in industry or infrastructure; 

• You have an affinity for programming applications for PLCs/SCADA systems.
