Overview
The NV5 Security Practice is seeking a Physical Security Systems Engineer to work with a team to design and oversee the installation and integration of advanced physical security systems for Nuclear Power Generation Facilities. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the nuclear standard design process.
Work Environment:
Location: Hybrid client location in Charlotte, NC & work from home
Travel: 20% of the time
May require flexible hours to accommodate customer needs and for travel requirements

Responsibilities
Designing physical security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, alarms, and sensors.
Collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate security measures into building plans and infrastructure.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Proficiency in security systems design and implementation.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Demonstrated experience in physical security or related fields.
May require flexible hours to accommodate customer needs and for travel requirements.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
