We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to work out of our Philadelphia, PA or Haddon Heights, NJ office. In this full-time position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Engineers (Staff & Senior-level) with the execution of multiple concurrent geotechnical projects.
  • Working with other staff engineers and geologists as well as communication and coordination with clients, drilling subcontractors and other design professional on the project team. 
  • Work with other field staff and coordinate with clients and contractors during construction. 
  • Conduct site visits and perform field inspection. 
  • Perform geotechnical engineering investigations, prepare reports, and help develop recommendations. 
  • Reliable transportation

Required Attributes:

  • Capable with MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel. 

  • Effectively utilize geotechnical engineering software and some basic autocad. 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Some basic geotechnical engineering experience. 
  • Capable of assisting with the coordination and management of a project team and overseeing construction inspection. 
  • Work effectively as part of a team and individually.

  • Balance workload and meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable working on a construction site.

  • Observe and document construction activities (concrete placement, deep and shallow foundation construction, earthwork, infiltration testing, basic survey and layout activity, test pits, test borings, etc.).
