Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an Environmental Engineer or Scientist Graduate to our dynamic Contamination Assessment & Remediation (CAR) team! This role will be based out of our Perth CBD office. We work in several different industries including local, state and federal government, infrastructure, waste and landfills, water and wastewater, oil and gas upstream and downstream, industrial, pipelines, and energy & resources.
What will you get to do?
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Working with intermediate and senior staff implementing environmental investigations including conducting field investigations, including drilling (various rig types), monitoring well and soil vapor installation oversight; conducting and coordination of environmental monitoring (soil, sediment, groundwater, soil vapor, surface water).
Field oversight of contractors.
Assistance with field scope development, scheduling, budgeting
Assistance with data compilation and interpretation
Preparation of technical environmental reports for senior review
Maintain safety training to conduct environmental contaminated sites work
What you will bring to the team:
Will graduate by December 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or environmental science or equivalent
0 to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting
Has a strong interest in chemistry, soil, groundwater, contamination assessment, and remediation methods.
Knowledge of contaminated sites regulation and associated guidance, protocols, and guidelines.
Willingness to travel throughout WA and Australia to undertake field work, is required (field demands can include working long hours, occasional extended field stints and working in inclement weather conditions)
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent writing and verbal communication are required to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences including subcontractors, clients, colleagues, etc.
Strong technical writing, data analysis and interpretation skills.
Valid full driver's license and is comfortable with long distance and off-road driving (training will be provided)
