Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer with a few years of industry experience to join a well-established and growing consultancy in Maidstone, Kent. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step from an entry-level position into a more autonomous, technically involved role, working across a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects.

You will be joining a collaborative team of specialist consultants, gaining exposure to a wide range of ground investigation, geotechnical design, and environmental projects, with clear opportunities for career progression and professional development.

The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be offered:

Key responsibilities of the Geotechnical role will include:

  • Planning, supervising, and managing ground investigation projects

  • Logging soil and rock in accordance with current standards

  • Interpreting ground investigation data and preparing factual and interpretive reports

  • Undertaking geotechnical assessments and producing design recommendations (e.g. foundations, earthworks)

  • Carrying out and reviewing contaminated land risk assessments

To be considered for this Geotechnical Engineer role you should have:

  • A degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Relevant industry experience

  • Strong report writing and data interpretation skills

  • Live in or near to Maidstone

  • A full, clean UK driving licence

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
