Overview

KSA, a Pape-Dawson Company, is searching for a licensed Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of project management experience supporting public infrastructure design projects. At KSA, our projects include water/wastewater, transportation, aviation electrical systems, utilities, SCADA, and a variety of other projects. We are looking for someone who is passionate about electrical engineering and is ready to make a difference in the communities we serve. Additionally, this position will be a Team Lead role helping to manage the electrical design projects, schedule, production oversight, and coordinate with the project managers on time, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Experience in a leadership role managing a team of engineers including mentoring staff, training and development, and schedule and budget adherence.
• Provide engineering and design for projects relating to airfield improvement, water treatment plants, pump stations, transportation, building electrical systems, etc.
• Provides estimates for engineering fee budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
• Ability to independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Applies technical expertise to review, approve, and seal work.
• Support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers & design/drafting technical staff.
• Ensure project compliance with all KSA practices and quality, safety and governmental design standards.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
• Experience with internal and external client management including municipalities and government agencies.
• 10+ years relevant experience in public infrastructure engineering and project management.
• Current Professional Engineering License in Texas.
• Experience in the production and delivery of electrical engineering construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with MS Office Software (TEAMS, Word, Excel), Newforma, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and REVIT.

KSA Engineers, Inc. was founded in 1978 as Kindle, Stone, & Associates, Inc., in Longview, Texas. The firm was established as a municipal engineering company.  Throughout the early years of the company, our engineers focused primarily on water and wastewater plants, pipelines, pump stations, and storage tanks, many of which were funded through EPA grants that were available in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The firm has grown rapidly since 1978 and currently has over 170 employees in nine offices located in Amarillo, Austin, Longview, Lufkin, McKinney, San Angelo, Shreveport, Sugar Land and Tyler.

The firm has diversified over the last 13 years and owns two subsidiary companies: Expert Computing Solutions and BLOC Design-Build, LLC.  Expert Computing Solutions is a network solutions integrator for businesses, municipalities, and counties in Texas.  BLOC Design-Build, LLC teams highly qualified contractors with KSA’s engineering personnel to provide alternative project delivery solutions for our clients.  In addition, BLOC Design-Build provides SCADA design and installation services. BLOC also provides renewable energy solutions to clients through the Renewable Energy Solutions division.
