Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for Civil or Environmental Engineers that specialize in Waste Management who are passionate about contributing to high‑quality project delivery across the full lifecycle of waste‑related infrastructure. Our roles are based in NSW and open to opportunities for the right people to be located in either our Newcastle, Sydney or Wollongong offices. You will play a key role in our Waste team in proposal development through to project completion, providing technical input, deliverable preparation, mentoring, and client leadership. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a consulting environment, brings strong communication and problem‑solving skills, and is motivated to grow within a collaborative and technically strong team.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Providing specialised technical services primarily focused on landfills, transfer stations and waste containment facilities across strategic, concept, detailed design and construction support project phases.
Leading the delivery of waste/resource recovery infrastructure projects across a broad range of services from stormwater management, leachate and landfill gas management to civil design.
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Growing and supporting existing team members in technical skills and project management.
What you will bring to the team:
A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field, coupled with 3–15 years’+ experience in waste management, civil design or a related consulting discipline, with strong skills in design, technical writing and client engagement.
Experience in landfill/resource recovery design is required. Experience in Construction Quality Assurance (including experience with lining systems) would be beneficial.
A collaborative mindset, commitment to delivering quality outcomes and the ability to make sound technical decisions within defined procedures.
Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil3D or 12D.
A valid driver’s license.
