We have a fantastic opportunity for a Water Engineer to join our growing Water Team based in Tauranga. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of water infrastructure projects.

The role: 

Investigating, designing, and implementing a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater, and multidisciplinary infrastructure.

Developing strong business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure project outcomes are achieved and client satisfaction remains high.

Preparing high-quality reports, correspondence, and other deliverables as required.

Undertaking both office-based and site-based work, collaborating with virtual teams across GHD offices nationally and internationally.

Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to graduate design engineers on various projects.

About You

A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering preferably with 5 to 7 years of related experience.

Strong knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines.

Experience working across both the public and private sectors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Experience with design software such as 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.

A demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and mentor others.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

A proactive, self-motivated, and energetic approach to work.

Flexibility and adaptability when faced with new challenges.
