You'll play a key role in managing the "Provide traction and energy for auxiliaries" function at the train level and associated subsystems, ensuring we meet the required performance standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Engineers, Traction Engineers, System Engineers, Experts, and Procurement), provide technical support in defining train configurations, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of developing subsystem/component activities, such as Central SSE Battery, and defining the HV architecture and operational modes, but also managing technical relationships with suppliers and ensuring coordination between teams on interfaces and performance.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing transverse requirement allocations to various subsystems in collaboration with relevant specialists

  • Developing requirements based on reference documents, standards, certification, safety, platform, and customer needs

  • Defining HV architecture, operational modes, and functionalities

  • Writing subsystem specifications and architecture descriptions

  • Driving technical relationships with suppliers and managing QCD commitments

  • Defining and performing train verification strategies in collaboration with engineering, certification, and validation teams

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  • Over 8 years of experience in product engineering

  • Experience or understanding of system engineering and subsystem integration

  • Knowledge of HV architecture and operational modes

  • Familiarity with technical purchasing specifications and supplier management

  • A strong command of English and excellent communication skills

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signaling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilize our dynamic and flexible working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards roles such as Technical Project Manager or Senior System Engineer

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
