Collins is seeking a self-motivated Structural Project Engineer to be an integral part of our team in Boise, Idaho. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of structural inspection and design projects. The ideal candidate must have an interest in diving and project management; Collins will arrange for and send the candidate to dive school if they do not have this training. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspection of bridges and waterfront structures.
Ancillary and sign structure inspections.
Above- and below-water bridge inspection including routine and fracture critical bridge inspections and reporting, bridge rehabilitation design, and bridge load ratings.
Field work required, which could include nights and weekends.
Design of bridges, transportation structures, earth retention structures, and waterfront structures.
Oil and gas refinery facilities inspections and repair design.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience or the equivalent thereof.
Experience in the inspection and/or design of, but not limited to, bridges, roadways, railroads, marinas, and/or ports a plus.
Must have desire to perform underwater bridge inspections and willingness to attend dive school paid for by Collins Engineers
Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
Valid driver’s license

The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to 8 hours or more at a time.
*The base salary will be estimated between $83,200 - $98,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
