LOCATION

This role will be based in our Leeds office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re looking for an energetic Software Engineer with the ability to drive the successful delivery and support of enterprise-grade integration solutions and software support. 

This is a technical expertise role that requires close interaction with business leaders in understanding requirements/use cases, scheduling and proposing solutions. 

Reporting to the Head of Systems and Integration, you will work with a broad range of technologies, contributing to the continued growth and success of ghd.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, test and deliver software/integrations to provide highly scalable and reusable solutions.
  • Follow the full development lifecycle through to production support.
  • Proactively triage and resolve project or BAU-related issues.
  • Create knowledge-based articles and documentation to help other members of the development team.
  • Undertake continuous service improvement to identify process and technical changes that can enhance system and platform stability or efficiency.
  • After an appropriate onboarding period, take part in the out of hours support Rota.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:  

  • 5+ years of experience using integration platforms like Snap logic, MuleSoft or other IPaaS solutions. SAP BTP expertise would be very beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SOAP/XML/JMS/JSON, specialist level understanding of REST principles, and REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience in building APIs using Swagger or Open API Specification.
  • Deep understanding of HTTP protocols.
  • Functional knowledge of program scripting such as JavaScript, Python, SQL, Java etc.
  • Excellent analytical and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of API Management architecture and API Lifecycle management.

Desirable:

  • Applied knowledge of agile, iterative, and waterfall development processes.
  • Experience with asynchronous Architecture.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud platform
