Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your software development expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll contribute to the development of embedded software that ensures the seamless operation of train control and monitoring systems (TCMS) and other subsystems, directly impacting the efficiency and safety of railway transportation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (system engineering, validation, and project management), participate in bench testing and target integration, and ensure deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements, and much more."

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing MPU software using Control Build or C language in compliance with the SwRS or SwDS of the TCMS or other subsystem specifications.
  • Integrating all TCMS functions to generate the executable software.
  • Participating in target integration and bench testing.
  • Verifying proper communication with other train equipment.
  • Supporting the validation team during train integration.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule (QCD) requirements.
  • Defining and applying software development processes, design rules, and quality standards.
  • Ensuring traceability of hardware and software configurations.
  • Collaborating closely with system engineering, validation, and project management teams.

Profile Sought:

  • Embedded Systems/Computer Science/Electronics Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Design software (ideally Control Build, MATLAB/Simulink, IEC 61131-3).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (C, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (Ethernet, TRDP, CIP, CAN, RS232/485).
  • Interest in embedded systems and the railway sector.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, good interpersonal skills, and team spirit.
  • Experience in the railway sector or a regulated environment (e.g., EN 50128).
  • Fluent English required.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
