Could you be the full-time Software Development Engineer in La Rochelle that we are looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and leverage your software development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You will work with a collaborative, innovative, and multidisciplinary team, and directly contribute to the design and development of maintenance software for our high-speed trains, addressing testability and remote diagnostics needs.

On a daily basis, you will work closely with the engineering, electronics, and mechanical teams, while also interacting with project teams, clients, and suppliers. You will play a key role in needs analysis, software solution development, and validation.

You will be particularly involved in writing detailed design specifications (DDS), but also in understanding electrical diagrams and associated control logics.

We will be calling on you to:

  • Write detailed design specifications (DDS) for the train maintenance equations.
  • Analyze and understand electrical diagrams and associated control logic.
  • Apply best practices in functional development and system maintenance.
  • Participate in software development according to V-model or Agile methodologies, depending on the projects.
  • Use configuration management tools such as Git.
  • Perform unit, integration and validation tests.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the consistency of the proposed solutions.
  • Ensure the monitoring of technical deliverables, planning and quality.

Your profile

  • Engineering degree in electrical engineering, software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of electrical and software design, ideally in the railway sector.
  • Knowledge of automation tools, particularly ControlBuild.
  • Familiarity with the PC COSIM tool for simulation and analysis.
  • Communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients and suppliers.
  • Technical English (essential in international projects).
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (electronics, software, mechanics).
  • Technical project management, including monitoring deliverables and schedules.
