NVIDIA is seeking a senior technical manager for the Autonomous vehicle driving function, and typically for large scaling test before mass production. This is key role to support AV software iteration & development for the release to client, together work with the engineering teams, strives to improve the software's adaptability and performance.
Are you ready to manage complex technical systems that deliver true self-driving capabilities to users? In this role, you will lead the effort by working closely with crowdsourced mapping software teams. You will communicate effectively across the AV ecosystem and partner with cross-functional groups, customers, and vendors.
What you'll be doing:
Participate and be responsible to prioritize the scaling test for the Autonomous Vehicle project for the Test team. Handle the progress of the defined program landmarks and coordinate meetings to address any deviations.
Work with technical and engineering teams on critical issues, driving implementation and process improvements across the project.
Supervise and categorize test events from the scaling test, raising them as needed. Make sure that software quality stays optimized by supervising key issues and trends in relevant metrics.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, operations, and mapping teams to articulate needs and build comprehensive plans accordingly.
Regularly communicate program status and key issues to PM on a daily/weekly basis.
Lead, manage, train, and provide mentorship to related contractors or junior colleagues.
What we need to see:
8+ years in the autonomous driving industry, OEM, or Tier 1, has test and/or program management experience on complex, large-scale programs in the field of autonomous driving.
Having mass production experience in rolling out highway/urban ADAS functions (Parking and driving) for city expansion across multiple carlines, participation in at least one mass-produced autonomous driving project with industry-leading results.
A dedicated professional passionate about product delivery, with strong skills in multitasking, partner influence, communication, presentation, consensus-building, and cross-functional team development.
Experience with data analysis and issue triage, and proficiency in tools for efficiency improvement.
Practical experience working in vehicles, using CAN or other equipment to tackle and debug vehicle issues.
Ability to think both strategically and tactically, with a history of gaining agreement to deliver successful programs, demonstrated capacity to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and resource conflicts.
A proven history of excellence in product/program management within dynamic, fast-paced organizations.
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, doors).
Bachelor's or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in vehicle engineering, computer science, or a related field, study oversee experience will be preferred.
Willingness to support business trips abroad and proficiency in English.
