Our Building Services team in Madrid sits at the heart of Arup's commitment to sustainable development. We engineer innovative and energy-efficient solutions that minimize environmental impact while creating comfortable, healthy, and high-performing spaces.  As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Spain and potentially internationally, collaborating with experts from various disciplines.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge mechanical systems for a variety of building projects. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:

Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a range of building types, from commercial and residential to cultural and educational facilities.

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated and sustainable building solutions.

Oversee the specification and selection of mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with performance and sustainability criteria.

Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone passionate about sustainable building design and innovative engineering solutions. Ideally, you’ll bring:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

15+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 level).
