An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy within their London offices. Working as part of their respected building services team, the successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer can expect to work on a variety of large-scale projects within the commercial, education, multi-residential and leisure sectors.

Qualifications: For this role candidates are likely to hold a BEng / equivalent in Mechanical Building services or related discipline. In addition, applicants should be a Chartered Member of an appropriate professional body, such as CIBSE.

Experience: In this instance candidates are sought with extensive experience in the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, CHP and chillers for large scale commercial developments, ideally within a consultancy environment. It is anticipated that the successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will have previous project and staff management experience and a proven track record in client liaison.

Duties:
– Undertaking HVAC design work, providing creative design solutions
– Preparing calculations and drawings
– Attending client meetings
– Mentoring junior members of the team
– Preparing expert written reports
– Assisting with the preparation of tender documents
