Your responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer with relevant design house experience to join our Civil & Structural Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarized below, but not limited to:

Design / manage design by others, of the civil and structural works in accordance with the requirements of the client.

As Lead Engineer oversee and coordinate the execution of civil and structural engineering on projects.

Liaise with other engineering disciplines and gather information required for the structural designs.

Prepare design criteria and specifications.

Prepare technical reports and project close-out reports.

Compile the relevant portions of the contract schedule/assist to evaluate the contract schedule in collaboration with the Project Scheduler.

During the course of the contract assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and make recommendations for appropriate action as and when required.

Perform technical adjudication of tenders.

Your profile

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) and be a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

7 -15 years’ experience in the industrial engineering environment and petro- chemical plants with the emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering is essential.
