Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Civil or Mechanical Engineer with a track record in delivering water and/or wastewater projects in either networks or treatment plants, to utilize your experience to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our team’s capabilities, and the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects for our clients. 

You will manage the design of small to medium sized projects as well as develop your technical skills by working as part of the design team or assisting the design manager for large projects. You will bring an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for delivering as part of a high performing team. 

You will play a key role in delivery of ambitious and interesting projects, allowing you a balance of technical work, design management, project management, operational support, business development and client engagement.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Delivering various and significant NSW, Australian and international water and wastewater projects (either networks or treatment plants), by understanding clients’ needs, providing technical guidance and support to the project team for small, medium and large-scale projects (capex in the 100’s of millions)

Technical leadership and project management to guide key projects and mentoring other team members.

Using your technical and client relationship skills for the delivery of proposals, investigations and technical design projects

Understanding client and project technical requirements, assisting to develop solutions, and preparation of technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery.

Working closely with our clients to develop innovative technical solutions in wastewater and water treatment 

What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, coupled with 8 or more years of relevant water or wastewater experience in either networks or treatment plants

The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle

Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals

Design or planning skills in water or wastewater networks or treatment, including producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructure

Experience with using civil or hydraulic design software is preferable

Project management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
