We have a great opportunity for a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Community Development business in South East Queensland. Based in either Springfield or Brisbane and reporting to the Group Leader, you will be engaged in civil design and project management related to civil infrastructure and urban development projects. There will also be an opportunity to either lead significantly or contribute to Brisbane 2032 Olympic related infrastructure projects. This is an excellent career pathway for an experienced Civil Engineer who seeks to grow their technical and leadership capabilities in a global engineering consultancy.

About the role

The role will require independent design, project delivery and stakeholder management and will suit an experienced Civil Engineer with good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Civil design and project management relating to land, urban and subdivisions

  • Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.

  • Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters

  • Adhering to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.

  • Managing clients and other consultants.

  • Assist with project management and business development.

  • Support Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall, Client satisfaction.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

  • Demonstrated experience in the civil engineering related to design and project management of civil infrastructure projects

  • Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes and state requirements

  • Hold CP Eng and / or RPEQ registration or be in a position to obtain in the next 12 months.
