Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) office is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join the team! In this role, you will operate as a CAD manager on multidiscipline projects coordinating project set-up, chartering documents, and maintain designer team schedules. You'll prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping and chemical feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing alignments, profiles, cross sections and details specific to wastewater/water facilities and horizontal infrastructure design projects.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.

Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.

Applications Software Maintenance: Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.

Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate complex systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for carrying out new product trials and for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.

Design and Conceptualization: Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.

Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.

What you will bring to the team:

Associate’s degree in CADD or Civil Engineering Technology; HS Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered

At least 8 years of experience in site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design

Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D

Revit, Civil Hydro CAD and TR-55 experience a plus

Understanding of survey fundamentals preferred
