Our Water group has secured multiple long term framework contracts with key water authority clients across Australia and locally in WA. We are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing WA team.

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of mechanical design and documentation for water infrastructure projects, helping ensure they meet client expectations and technical standards. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll assist with calculations, specifications, and drawings, and contribute to project coordination across disciplines. You’ll also help prepare proposals, attend meetings, and support contract administration tasks. Our projects include water and wastewater systems, treatment facilities, and mechanical infrastructure that helps communities across Western Australia grow and thrive.

As a Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver mechanical engineering designs including drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications to support multidisciplinary projects.

  • Use industry-standard and proprietary software to analyze and design mechanical system components with precision.

  • Assist in selecting mechanical systems and materials and contribute to the development of specifications and visual design formats.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure design compatibility and effective project coordination.

  • Prepare mechanical engineering documents by developing engineering specifications, plans and schedules.

Qualifications

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in consulting field and/or recognized as a Mechanical Engineer in your current role.

  • Experience working in the local Western Australia market would be an advantage

  • In depth knowledge of the Water Corp design standards, previous project examples would be favorable

  • Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven experience in time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.

  • Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training and seminars, and maintaining your Continual Professional Development (CPD)
