This Position reports to:

Project Execution Team Lead

As a result of growth of our organization ABB (MVD), We are currently looking for candidates for a position of Mechanical Engineer in factory Execution Team in Aleksandrov Godzik. This person will have technical ownership of one of Medium Voltage Drives product families and be responsible to further develop and extend the product portfolio.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #Li-hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology and engineering assignments

  • Coordinating within a team of Project Execution timeline for releasing the assigned tasks, prioritize and balance the work between different areas

  • Supporting the technical sales support team in offer preparation

  • Monitoring factory progress on local basis, analysis and implementation of improvement actions

  • Making changes to existing mechanical components and design new ( 3D models and flat drawings)

  • Implementing new options to the existing products, where mechanical changes are required

  • Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility and proactively manages this work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at the targeted cost.

  • Acts as the ABB technical lead for an engineering discipline on a project. Interacts with customers and officials, contractors, and others. Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments. Ensures that

  • ABB is presented as a professional organization in all interactions with the customer.

  • Actively coaches' colleagues, supporting with technical advice and guidance. Maintains network of Engineering professionals and shares best practice across different projects and disciplines.

Qualifications for the role

  • Higher technical education (mechanical preferred).

  • 5+ years of professional experience working as Mechanical Engineer.

  • Good knowledge of 2D, 3D CAD tools (proficiency working with Solid Edge is required).

  • Background in power electronics is advantage.

  • Fluent in English language.

  • Previous experience with SAP preferred.

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international groups.
