What will you do as a Mechanical Engineer Piping & Layout?

In this challenging role, you'll design mechanical installations for energy generation, such as burners, boilers, piping, steel structures, and complete systems. You'll be technically responsible for the mechanical design, including drawings, calculations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, regulations, and schedules.

You'll support the proposal phase, develop design requirements, monitor budgets, and coordinate outsourcing of drawings and specialized calculations. You'll work with Inventor and/or Plant 3D and actively participate in design reviews. You'll also share lessons learned with your team to drive continuous improvement.

What are you bringing?

• A completed MBO+ or HBO education in mechanical engineering.
• Several years of experience in designing mechanical engineering installations (piping, boilers, pressure parts, steel structures or mechanical engineering).
• Experience as a piping & layout engineer.
• Knowledge of EN and ASME standards.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (Inventor and Plant 3D is a plus);
• Experience with strength calculations is a plus.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and a strong focus on safety and cooperation.
