You will be a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Archbald facility, which specializes in design, manufacturing, and engineering for both domestic and international customers. Our team produces electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications. Archbald is renowned for its awards and contributions to missile systems, nuclear instrumentation, and control products.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you may support the Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the project or assignment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans for a variety of electronic, Cables & Harness and electromechanical assemblies, including material and process specifications.

  • Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop process plans, tooling, support equipment, process flows.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.

  • Apply lean and six sigma manufacturing principles to reduce cost and increase yields.

  • Utilize strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

    MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience.

    • Previous manufacturing and lean principles experience.

    • This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
    Desired Skills:
    • CCA manufacturing experience in accordance with specification IPC-620.

    • Cable and Harness and Electromechanical manufacturing experience.

    • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

    • Ability to work with supply base.

    • Familiarity with Windchill.

    • Detail-oriented.

    • Excellent process development and documentation skills (MS Office).

    • Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback).

    • Ability to use CAD software (Creo and AutoCAD preferred).

    Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
    Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
    Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
