Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer (F-16) Intern. In this role, you will provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full-rate production standup and support, and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production.
This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day tasking will include working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms.

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related degree plan, e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering Technology, Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering.
Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in ‘hands-on’ applications of engineering and manufacturing principles.
Detail-oriented and organized candidate with demonstrated technical proficiency and capability.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience in a related industry preferred.
Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.
Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
