What will you do?

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecon's business globally. Here are the key things you will do to:

• Mechanical Design lead of municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure

• Design of pumping systems including hydraulics (ideally including transients, control valves/pressure regulating valves, and non-Newtonian fluids)

• Design of ancillary systems e.g. odour control, compressed air systems, chemical dosing systems, biogas etc.

• Development of isometric drawings for piping

• Development of mechanical general arrangements and standard details

• Development of mechanical specifications and procurement documentation (e.g. data sheets, scope of works, specifications)

• Pipe stress analysis and pipe support design

• Providing input to P&ID and control philosophies

• Participate in Safe Design activities including HAZOPs

• Design Management of medium size project or packages / facilities

• Oversight of junior engineers, designers and drafters and provide engineering and quality assurance as a reviewer across all deliverables generated

What can you bring to the team?

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 10 years' experience

• Eligibility for Professional Engineering Chartership (CPEng) with Engineers Australia

• Experience in oversight of mechanical piping and equipment model development e.g. Plant 3D

• Experience in Design & Construct project delivery

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising or managing junior engineers in a project delivery setting.

• Proven experience in mechanical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in piping specifications, stress analysis, and pipe support design.

• Experience contributing to Plant 3D models and isometric drawing development.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor liaison, and collaboration skills.

Good to have:

• EA CPEng (or equivalent)

• Australian and/or international project experience

• Experience in Design Management of medium size project or packages/facilities
