Could you be the full-time Industrial Quality Engineer in Plovdiv, Bulgaria we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes, contributing to our commitment to delivering defect-free products to our customers and supporting our Zero-Defect Program. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as manufacturing, supply chain, and supplier quality), manage industrial quality activities at the depot level, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of designing and deploying Quality Control Plans per manufacturing process while ensuring the compliance and quality of manufactured products but also support cross-functional teams in achieving continuous improvement goals.
We’ll look to you for:
- Managing Industrial Quality activities in the workshop, including leading the Industrial Quality team, overseeing processes, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stopping production when mandatory rework is required to ensure quality standards are met.
- Participating in or delegating customer joint inspections and process FMEA definitions.
- Developing, implementing, and regularly updating Quality Control Plans based on lessons learned from previous projects.
- Ensuring customer approval and compliance of manufactured products before shipping.
- Performing industrial quality controls, including inspections, problem-solving, and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Supporting manufacturing teams with self-inspection training and audits.
- Conducting incoming inspections and maintaining accurate documentation of results and non-conformities.
- Coordinating external inspections or lab testing when required.
- Collaborating with supply chain and supplier quality teams to address defects and ensure part availability.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A technical diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in quality management and/or the railway industry (preferred but not essential).
- Fluency in English & Bulgarian (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to document processes accurately.
- Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues.
- Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility.
- Utilize our activity-based working environment.
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
- Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs.
- Progress towards exciting career growth opportunities in the field of quality engineering and beyond.
- Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
