Job Description

Pennoni is currently looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to work in our Philadelphia, PA office with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform structural design & analysis of building structural systems.

Design and detailing of structures for low-rise & high-rise buildings with a variety of materials (i.e.: concrete, steel, masonry, and timber).

Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.

Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

 Basic Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline (i.e.: Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, etc.).

 Preferred Qualifications:

F.E. / E.I.T. is a plus!

Completion of relevant coursework in structural analysis, concrete, masonry, and steel design is strongly preferred.

Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM is a plus!

Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM, STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad is preferred.

Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.

Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
