  1. Role Overview: Electrical Engineer supports the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical systems for building projects. This role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers, assisting with technical calculations, preparing drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

  2. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and drafting of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and low voltage systems) for various building types.

  • Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and schedules using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

  • Support senior engineers in performing technical calculations and preparing project documentation.

  • Participate in site visits and inspections to gather data and support project delivery.

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure integrated solutions.

  • Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documents.

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in building electrical systems.

  1. Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building services electrical design or a related field (internships or project experience is a plus).

  • Basic knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NBC, IS, IEC).

  • Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD required; Revit, Dialux, or similar is a plus).

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

  1. Preferred Attributes
  • Exposure to sustainable design or green building concepts is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital collaboration tools is a plus.
