Who could you be at GHD?

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career. Alongside your peers, managers and mentors, we’ll help you detangle any challenges along the way. 

What will you do in the role?

Rail engineering and design including track and formation, electrification, signaling and systems

Learn and utilize technology and software to deliver projects

Learn to use systems engineering principles to deliver efficient and effective designs

Multidisciplinary interface and coordination with other engineering disciplines associated with rail infrastructure projects including geotechnical, structural, architecture etc

Connect in with a wider team of professionals to share insights, knowledge and improve your overall technical capabilities

We’re looking for individuals who:

Has recently graduated, or will graduate at the end of the year with a degree in Civil Engineering

Are passionate about the consulting industry and engineering profession

Strong communication teamwork and communication skills

Any prior experience in an engineering environment will be highly regarded.

Screening: We review applications as they come in but be mindful that the bulk of our screening happens after applications close, so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us right away. 

Video interviews: If you make it through the first stage, you’ll record some answers to a few straightforward questions. This helps us get a sense of your communication style and what excites you about GHD.

Meet the team: Next, you’ll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some behavioural based questions to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us!

Psychometric assessments: These quick tests give us a glimpse into how you like to work and your strengths in relation to the role, complementing what we learn during your interview.

Offer: Congratulations! If you’re successful, we’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.
