We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and support quality assurance activities at telecom tower manufacturing partner locations. The role requires on-site presence at the production unit and includes quality inspection, reporting, and technical coordination to ensure all components meet engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality checks and inspections at partner manufacturing facilities for telecom tower components.

  • Interpret and validate engineering drawings to ensure production alignment with design specifications.

  • Prepare and submit daily quality reports and escalate discrepancies to the location manager.

  • Ensure compliance with Ramboll’s Code of Conduct (CoC) and maintain health and safety at partner sites.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to resolution of quality-related issues.

  • Witness raw material testing and perform random sampling in the quality lab.

  • Prevent non-conforming parts from being dispatched by ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.

  • Ability to use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Basic understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes.

  • Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT Level II) – preferred.

  • Knowledge of CAD software and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Understanding of the galvanizing process – preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support process improvements to eliminate quality defects.

  • Maintain proper documentation related to quality audits, inspections, and materials testing.

  • Collaborate with the internal team and external partners to enhance product quality and process reliability.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.

  • 1–2 years of experience in quality control/inspection in a manufacturing environment, preferably in telecom, structural, or fabrication sectors.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

  • Effective listener and problem-solver.

  • Willingness to relocate and travel to remote manufacturing sites as needed.

  • Flexible to work in shifts and in dynamic production environments.
