We’re looking for a range of Electrical Engineers from mid-level to senior to join our Water Group.
In Western Australia, our 90-year partnership with the water sector has cultivated strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their challenges, equipping us to assist them in preparing for what lies ahead. Our team is very well known for water infrastructure and water resources engineering and science consulting, collaborating with industry leaders like Water Authorities, major mining firms, and Defense, among others. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Participating in a range of activities from feasibility and concept design studies to detailed design
Participating in a range of projects from small consultancy tasks to major multi-discipline projects
Managing jobs under GHD's quality management procedures
Collaborating with and mentoring junior engineers
Technical review of the electrical design by other team members
Strengthening client relationship and business development
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 5-10 years of design experience
Self-motivation, with excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills
Strong background in high and low-voltage power system design
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Switchboard design
Transformer selection and integration
Variable speed drive systems
Harmonic mitigation strategies
Protection system studies
Earthing system design
Familiarity with solar renewable energy systems
Experience preparing detailed project proposals and technical documentation is desirable
Fully conversant with Australian Standards, Electrical Acts, and Regulations
Chartered status/registration with Engineers Australia is desirable
Experience in the water industry, particularly with Water Corporation design standards is desirable
