Your impact

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Data Centre team based at our Bangkok Office (Thailand). This role will focus on delivering high-quality electrical engineering design and consultancy services for mission-critical facilities across Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will play a key role in design development, site inspections, and providing engineering support during the construction phase to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Perform and review detailed electrical design calculations, load analysis, and system sizing for data centers.

Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation in compliance with local codes and international standards.

Develop resilient, sustainable, and energy-efficient electrical solutions for mission-critical environments.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural) to ensure integrated design solutions.

Utilize BIM and 3D modeling tools for design development and coordination.

Project & Client Engagement

Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops.

Support proposal preparation, bids, and technical presentations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Construction & Site Support

Conduct regular site inspections during construction to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Provide engineering support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving technical issues.

Assist in commissioning and testing of electrical systems to ensure operational readiness.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure adherence to Thai building codes, international standards, and Jacobs’ quality management processes.

Implement project monitoring, reporting, and risk management practices.

Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate you shall possess: 

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with the Council of Engineers Thailand or eligibility to obtain it.

Minimum 8–12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on data center or mission-critical projects. Experience with both High Voltage and Low Voltage systems, UPS, generators, and power distributions of data center.

Proven experience in design and construction-phase support, including site inspections and commissioning.

Strong knowledge of Thai codes and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).

Good interpersonal skills.
