Consultants CH2M and ATCS win general engineering contract for Virginia’s Transform 66 Megaproject

The scope of the seven-year contract encompasses professional engineering support and technical services for three critical projects.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Northern Virginia Megaprojects Office has awarded the general engineering consulting contract to support its $2-billion Transform 66 project to CH2M and its D.C.-area joint-venture partner, ATCS, P.L.C.  

The scope of the seven-year contract encompasses professional engineering support and technical services with qualified personnel to assist in the planning, procurement, design, and construction management, as well as operations and maintenance consulting, for three critical projects: 

  • Transform I-66 Outside the Beltway: Transforming I-66 into a multi-modal corridor that moves traffic and people in a quicker more reliable manner.
  • Transform I-66 Inside the Beltway: Implementing multi-modal improvements and tolling to deliver free-flowing travel during peak hours.
  • Development of the Regional Transportation Management Plan.
