As one of the only automotive suppliers in the world with complete vehicle manufacturing capabilities, Magna International, together with its customer, W Motors SAL, will showcase the Lykan HyperSport supercar at the upcoming 86th Geneva International Motor Show.

It will be the first time that the futuristic supercar will be on full display in Europe.  Visitors will have the opportunity to see the luxury sports car at Magna’s booth located at 6261in Hall 6.

Magna was the engineering and manufacturing partner that designed and built the supercar’s prototypes. The vehicles were produced by Magna Steyr’s Engineering Center in Italy along with high-performance luxury sports car developer W Motors and RUF Automobile GmbH, a sports car restoration company.

“Not only does the Lykan HyperSport exemplify Magna’s expertise in engineering and craftsmanship, it also demonstrates our unique capability and competitive advantage in complete vehicle manufacturing,” said Guenther Apfalter, President of Magna Steyr.  “We are proud to have worked with W Motors and RUF Automobile on this project.”
In addition to performing the feasibility study and constructing the exterior model, Magna was also responsible for manufacturing three static models as well as three driveable models. These models, along with a pre-production vehicle, were all delivered to a motion picture set in the United States, where the vehicle was featured in a recent action movie.

“Thanks to its expertise in development and world-class production capabilities, Magna has been exactly the right partner for us,” explains W Motors owner Ralph R. Debbas.
