Located adjacent to the award winning Officers Field, Castle Court is the second collaboration on Portland between HTA and Zero C.

Won as part of a competitive tender, the project comprises of 70 new residential units on a currently derelict site. As part of the project, a former Royal Navy canteen building (complete with Helicopter Control Tower) will be converted into flats to complement the new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses.

In common with Officers Field, the site has a difficult topography with numerous level changes but this does offer  extensive views over Chesil beach and to the adjacent Portland Castle.

Architecturally, the design picks up on the successful architectural approach of Officers Field with strong Gabled forms and a clear domestic language whilst local brickwork traditions (in particular red brick with stone detailing) are also used to harmonise the architecture with its context.

The scheme has recently been submitted for planning and is due to commence on site in Spring 2016.
